Developing an equipment and standards database

An integrated petrochemical and gas-chemical company

Project goals and objectives

• Generation of up-to-date normalized equipment databases (EDB) and databases of standards (DBS)
• Implementing the pilot project and the follow-up replication of the solution

Project results

• An equipment database was prepared:
  • EDB equalization, normalization and update were performed at the sites within the replication scope
  • Templates for EDB importing into the SAP ERP system were developed
  • The centralized high-level standards were developed and agreed
• The DBS prepared for importing into SAP ERP
  • Training performed for the employees in new approaches to EDB and DBS development with account of the requirements of SAP ERP document “The PM MDM Methodology”
