Goal

Develop the information terminal — the platform for delivering market data from foreign exchanges and other sources. The system is designed to make an alternative for Bloomberg and Reuters

Background

The Customer’s Exchange handles about 99% of all organized trading in the following segments: petroleum products, oil, gas, liquified gas, timber and construction materials, mineral fertilizers, as well as trading in the derivatives market.

The results and the specifics of the developed product

• The developed information platform allows for the users to receive the following date in the real-time mode: indices, extended data on the process and the results of trading, forecasting service data, as well as macroeconomic data and statistics from various open data sources and partners of the Exchange.
• The Platform is a major source of statistics and price data about the commodity markets
• The clients may receive information in two ways: by API and via the web-terminal. API allows for receiving the normalized flow of data from different sources in a single common format and to automate the existing business processes; while as the web-terminal allows for efficient market monitoring making comprehensive analysis of current and historic data using the applications’ functionality
• Based on the subscription type, the user gets a flow of market data on a certain instrument or group of instruments in the real-time mode or time-lagged. Blocks of historic data are also available
